Boston College. Chief Executives Club
Historical Note
In 1992, Peter Rollins was appointed the Executive Director for Corporate and Government Affairs for the Carroll School of Management. An outreach role, Rollins was appointed to strengthen the school’s relations with the corporate and government center. One of his first acts was to institute the Chief Executives Club, a membership-based organization where industry leaders could bring to CSOM their informed views on what’s happening in the business world. The program launched in November 1992 where over 100 Greater Boston CEOs arrived in Boston to hear Ford Motor Company’s President Alex Trotman share his thoughts on the link between the government and the auto industry.
Today, the Chief Executives’ Club of Boston invites the region’s most powerful business leaders to several luncheon forums each year at the Boston Harbor Hotel’s Wharf Room. Each luncheon features a prominent CEO keynote speaker from outside the region who is introduced by a Hub corporate leader and addresses important issues affecting both business and the economy.
