Administrative history
The Smith Houlihan Irish Dance Academy was founded in Norwood, Massachusetts in 1976 by the husband and wife team of Michael Smith and Noreen Houlihan-Smith. Students of the Smith Houlihan Irish Dance Academy won titles at the World and All-Ireland competitions as well as other national and regional competitions. Several students also went on to dance in touring shows such as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. The academy operated until 2021.
