The Jesuit Institute at Boston College was founded in 1988 and promotes research and collaboration on issues that emerge at the intersection of faith and culture. The Institute hosts lectures, visiting scholars, conferences, and interdisciplinary seminars.

Abstract

This collection documents the professional and personal life of John E. Murphy, SJ, a twentieth-century Jesuit and professor of Irish Literature at Boston College. The bulk of the papers consists of religious materials and subject files used for his research and lectures. Of note are a small collection of Irish fine print press cards from Dun Emer and Cuala Press.
