This is an 18th century copy of an earlier manuscript prepared by Fr. Luis de Valdivia containing hundreds of biographies of Jesuits throughout the world, many of which are missionaries in South America, prepared for publication by Fr. Félix de Villagarcía (1687-1759). Includes index of names.

Scope and Contents Bound manuscript of 179 leaves, comprising 42 manuscript tracts critical of the Jesuits, including 2 folding leaves with watercolors depicting the imprisonment and executions of the Jesuits Gabriel Malagrida and Miguel Calvo. Written in two or more hands, the texts, recounting events of the 18th century through 1765, were likely copied from various sources. Manuscript fair copy of an unpublished treatise on the Eucharist by Nicolás de Olea, written in a cursive humanistic script. The existence of this manuscript was known to J.T. Medina, who notes in the entry for Olea's Summa tripartita scholasticae philosophiae, "Se atribuyen a Olea un Tractatus de admirabili Eucharistiae Sacramenti, 1676, manuscrito en 4o., y otros que enumera Torres Saldamando."
