Historical Note
Boston College office. Established in the early forties as the Placement Bureau, this office sought to place each graduating student in a vocation best suited to his or her career ambitions. Over the years, the office experienced several name changes, including the Career Planning and Placement Center in 1975 and the Career Center in 1981.

Contains correspondence, surveys, clippings, and publications. The files from the 1940s include information on Boston College students enlisted in the military reserves and correspondence from the National Youth Administration. Later files primarily contain departmental reports and student surveys.
