NANDA International
Historical note
The North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA) was created in 1982 at the Fifth National Conference for Classification of Nursing Diagnosis. NANDA develops, refines and promotes a taxonomy of nursing diagnostic terminology of general use to professional nurses. After two decades of increasing activity in publishing and collaboration, NANDA rebranded itself in 2002 as NANDA International (NANDA-I) to better reflect their growing global scope.
