NANDA International
Historical note
The North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA) was created in 1982 at the Fifth National Conference for Classification of Nursing Diagnosis. After two decades of increasing activity in publishing and collaboration, NANDA rebranded itself in 2002 as NANDA International (NANDA-I) to better reflect their growing global scope. NANDA-I develops, refines and promotes a taxonomy of nursing diagnostic terminology of general use to professional nurses.
