Historical note

Since 2003, the Series has brought together accomplished performers and experts in Irish, Scottish, American, and related folk music traditions. A successor of Boston College's Irish fiddle festival (1990) and Gaelic Roots festival, the Series was organized and directed by Séamus Connolly, Boston College Sullivan Artist in Residence in Irish Music (2004-2015). For many years Elizabeth Sweeney, Irish Music Librarian, served a co-organizer. Since 2016, Sheila Falls Keohane, faculty with the Music Department, has served as Director for the Series.
