Biographical Note

Edgar F. Huse was born in 1924 and earned his doctorate from Western Reserve University in 1959. He came to Boston College in 1964 and taught in the College of Business Administration. Huse established and chaired the Department of Organizational Studies in the Boston College School of Management; he later helped to establish the Human Resources Concentration. His extracurricular work included serving as a co-architect for the Academic Senate. The author of numerous articles and books, he also worked with various corporations to develop job enhancement programs. Huse died in 1981. The School of Management offers the Edgar F. Huse Memorial Award annually to students demonstrating excellence in Management and Leadership.
