Biographical Note
Bertha Georgie Hyde-Lees (known as "George" by her family) was born in 1892, in England. She married W. B. Yeats in 1917. They had two children together, Anne and Michael. After the deaths of her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Corbet and Lily Yeats, she took over running their business, Cuala Press. After W. B.'s death in 1939, she served as his literary executor. She died in 1968.

Boston College collection of Yeats family papers
The Boston College collection of Yeats family papers includes artwork, correspondence, manuscripts, notebooks, and photographs by and about siblings W. B., Elizabeth Corbet, Lily, and Jack B. Yeats; their father, John Butler Yeats; the wife of W. B., Georgie Yeats; the daughter of W.B., Anne Yeats; and the son of W.B., Michael B. Yeats. It also documents the running of Cuala Press, a Yeats family business.

Yeats family presses, between 1902-1983
Materials from three iterations of the Yeats family press. Most materials are from Cuala Press, incorporated under Cuala Industries, Ltd., but the prints from Cuala Press, Ltd., run by the next generation of the Yeats family using the original plates are also well represented. Three items date to the original press project, Dun Emer, from which the Yeats family split off in 1908.
