Bette Arnold (1920-2011) was the proprietor of the popular Bett''s Rolls Royce restaurant near Faneuil Hall in Boston. She graduated from Simmons College in 1941. Her first career was singing in the Chappie Arnold Orchestra, a big band led by her first husband, which she helped manage. Bette and Chappie later started a bus company before opening their famous restaurant in 1971. Bette's Rolls Royce quickly became renowned for its flamboyant owner, who often illegally parked her yellow Rolls Royce outside of the restaurant and entertained patrons on weekends with her own renditions of popular songs.
