Biographical Note

Dominico Valesio was an Italian Jesuit active in Bohemia and Moravia. His life is chronicled in Matthias Tanner's Societas Jesu Apostolorum Imitatrix (1694).

Narrative of the life of the Italian Jesuit Dominico Valesio (1581-1615).

Bound manuscript of 98 pages, the first 6 and last 7 of which are blank, writen in a humanistic script. Title in a different early hand, affixed to fourth leaf. The text is divided in 35 chapters and written in the first person by a narrator personally familiar with Valesio. Possibly written in Český Krumlov, Bohemia, where Valesio died in 1615.
