Biographical Note
Bridget Skelly emigrated from Streamstown, Newton Cashel, County Longford, Ireland to Woodbury, Connecticut in about 1870. While in Connecticut, she worked as a governess for Mrs. Tomlinson. About 1874 she returned to Ireland to care for her ailing parents. She later returned to the United States, where she died in 1895.
