Biographical note

Late-twentieth-century Irish poet Gerard Fanning was born in 1952 in Dublin. He married Bríd Ní Chuilinn and worked for the Irish Civil Service. He published four collections of poetry during his life and one posthumously: Easter Snow (1992), Working for the Government (1999), Water & Power (2004), Hombre: New and Selected Poems (2011), and Collected Poems (2024). Fanning died on October 18, 2017, following an illness.
