Biographical note

Daniel J. Kane (born 1917 or 1918, died 1996) worked for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati (1957-1986) in a number of capacities. In 1962, he received the Papal Medal "Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice" by Pope John XXIII. The University of Dayton conveys a "Daniel J. Kane Religious Communications Award"; Kane was the first recipient in 1986.
