Biographical note

J. Joseph "Joe" Burns graduated from Boston College in 1967. After graduation he participated in the Peace Corps. Burns returned to Boston College as an Associate Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences, a position he helf from 1985-1998. He became Associate Vice Provost for Undergraduate Academic Affairs, a post he held until his retirement from Boston College in 2021.
