Biographical Note
Martin Hayes was born in 1962 in the townland of Maghera between Feakle and Tulla in County Clare. A fiddle player, producer, teacher, author, and composer, his awards include six All Ireland fiddle championships the 2008 TG4 Gradam Ceoil. Other awards include the American Irish Historical Society's Person of the Year, the Irish Arts Center's Spirit of Ireland award, and a 2019 honorary doctorate from National University of Ireland Galway.
