Biographical note

A native of County Armagh in Northern Ireland, Cillian Vallely was an uilleann pipes player, low whistle player, and composer based in New York. His early musical influences included his parents, Brian and Eithne Vallely, who founded the Armagh Pipers’ Club in 1966. He began touring and performing in the 1990s and joined the Irish musical group Lúnasa in 1999. His playing appears on over 60 albums in a variety of genres.
