Biographical note

Robbie O’Connell was an Irish singer, songwriter, and guitarist from County Waterford. He began touring and recording with his uncles' band, The Clancy Brothers, in 1977. He also performed and recorded as a soloist and in collaborations such as Green Fields of America and Aengus. He lived in New England for many years before returning to Ireland. His music has won awards such as including WUMB's #1 acoustic album of 1989 and the Boston Music Award for Outstanding Celtic Act in 1991.
