Biographical note
Whistle player and teacher Kathleen Conneely was born and raised in Bedford, England to parents from County Galway and County Longford. Her formative years, influenced by her family's Irish music and dance heritage, were further enriched by Irish music classes with County Clare emigrant Brendan Mulkere. Kathleen brought her music to Chicago in the early 1990s, also spending a number of years in New England before returning to Chicago. She taught and performed internationally and released her first solo CD in 2012.
