Biography

Brad Bates (born 1959) played defensive back at the University of Michigan and received his bachelor's degree there in 1981. He worked in athletic administration at Vanderbilt University for 17 years and served as athletic director at Miami University (2002-2012) and Boston College (2012-2017). At Boston College, he finalized a $200 million strategic plan for new athletic facilities.
