Biographical note
James "Jim" C. Wilder was born in March 1940 in Bethesda, Maryland. He founded and owns the printing press Wild Apple Press located in Bethesda. In the 1960s, he attended the University of Alabama and earned his master’s degree in journalism. Wilder was inspired to create the Wild Apple Press after attending the Book Arts Program at the University of Alabama. He has been a member of the Chesapeake Chapter of the American Printing History Association (APHA) since the early 2000s and contributed to many of the group's publications.
