Biographical Note
Louise Imogen Guiney was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1861. Her poems appeared in several periodicals and she also published several books of verse. In 1894, Guiney became the postmistress of Auburndale, Massachusetts, and she later worked in the cataloging department of the Boston Public Library. Guiney moved to Oxford, England in 1901, worked as an editor, and died in 1920.
