Biographical Note
Kevin Burke was born in London, England in 1950, to parents from County Sligo, Ireland. He has recorded and toured internationally, both as a solo fiddle player and as a collaborator with many singers and instrumentalists including The Bothy Band and Patrick Street. As a resident of Oregon he was awarded a National Heritage Fellowship from the U.S. National Endowment for the Arts in 2002. He has also lived in Ireland and received the Gradam Ceoil from TG4 in 2016.
