Biographical note
Born in 1818 in Parzham near Passau in Bavaria, Conrad joined the Capuchins as a lay-brother at the age of thirty-one and spent more than forty years as doorkeeper at his friary. He was endowed with the gift of prophecy and the power to read hearts. Beatified in 1930 and canonized in 1934.
