Gordianus, Saint, -362
Person
Biographical note
Gordianus was a Roman martyr under Julian the Apostate, killed in 362. When charged with forcing Januarius, bishop of Benevento, to make a sacrifice to the Roman emperor, Gordianus instead converted to Christianity himself, along with many in his household. He himself was tortured and beheaded as a result.
