Biographical Note
Kathleen Laura Verschoyle (1892-1987), Irish sculptor and illustrator, was born 7 July 1892 in Dundrum, County Dublin, to William Henry Foster Verschoyle. Her mother (name unknown) died in 1924 and in 1926 her father married the writer Winifred M. Letts. Verschoyle illustrated four of Lett's books between 1932-1938. Also in 1932, Verschoyle married the Rev. William K.P Hogan and relocated to England. She exhibited works at the Royal Hibernian Academy from 1918-1936, and the Norwich Art Circle 1933-1938.
