Biographical note
Originally from County Dublin, multi-instrumentalist Mary Bergin won the senior All-Ireland whistle championship in 1970. She relocated to County Galway in the 1970s. She recorded and performed as a solo musician and with many collaborators. In 2000, she received the Gradam Ceoil award from TG4.
