Biographical note

Originally from London, John Carty was an Irish fiddle, banjo, guitar and flute player based in County Roscommon. His early musical influences include music classes with County Clare emigrant Brendan Mulkere. Carty was a member of the band At The Racket, and collaborated with many musicians. Carty was awarded TG4's Gradam Ceoil in 2003.
