Biographical note
Bobby Casey was a fiddle player from County Clare. He had lifelong friendships with musicians such as John Kelly, Willie Clancy, Paddy Canny, P.J. Hayes, Joe Ryan, and Junior Crehan. Casey moved to Dublin in the 1940s, then to London in 1952, making frequent visits back to Ireland. He twice won the Senior All-Ireland Fiddle Championship, in 1952 and 1968.

Boston College Gaelic Roots Festival is primarily documented through audio and video recordings of music and dance performances and lectures. There are also extensive color snapshot photographs of the festival, and these include classes and workshops as well as concerts and lectures.
