Biographical note
Joseph (Joe) Cormier was a fiddle player from the Acadian community of Chéticamp, Cape Breton Island. In 1962, he moved to the Boston area, performing regularly at the French American Victory Club in Waltham and at the Canadian American Club in Watertown. He received a National Heritage Fellowship in 1984 and was a featured performer in the 1988 Masters of the Folk Violin tour.
