Costello, Louise
Biographical note
Louise Costello was a banjo and accordion performer from Galway whose early musical influences include her father, Denny Costello. In the 1990s, she and her husband, Tommy McCarthy, founded their first of several Irish music pubs, The Burren, in Somerville, Massachusetts. In 2025, Costello and McCarthy were co-recipients of the Spirit Award from Irish Network Boston's Spirit of Ireland.
