Biographical note

Eamon Flynn was a multi-instrumentalist and composer from County Limerick. He performed in groups across Ireland and England before immigrating to Massachusetts in 1959. Living in Vermont from 1985 he taught with the Vermont Touring Artists Program of the Vermont Arts Council and with the Vermont Folklife Center Apprenticeship Program. He later moved back to County Limerick. He was inducted into the Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Northeast Region Hall of Fame in 2005.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: Boston College Gaelic Roots Festival is primarily documented through audio and video recordings of music and dance performances and lectures. There are also extensive color snapshot photographs of the festival, and these include classes and workshops as well as concerts and lectures.
