Biographical note

Originally from northeast England, Ged Foley was a multi-instrumentalist in the Irish, Scottish, and British musical traditions. He was also a vocalist, teacher, and producer. He has played, toured, and recorded with such groups as The Battlefield Band, The House Band, The Celtic Fiddle Festival, and Patrick Street. He lived in Ohio for a number of years before moving to County Clare. He served as Artistic Director of the Catskills Irish Arts Week from 2002-2004.

Includes video recordings from two cameras in different locations (A and B). The audio quality for the first 25 minutes of the camera A video recording is poor, however the camera B and audio-only recordings are good.

Access Note

The audio recordings on DTRS cannot be reformatted by Burns Library at this time and are not available for playback due to format impermanence. All audio and video recordings on DAT and mini-DV have been digitally copied and are accessible.
