Hayes, Tommy
Biographical note
Originally from County Limerick, Tommy Hayes was a traditional and world music percussionist and composer. Based in County Clare, his instruments include the bodhrán, spoons, and jaw harp. He was a co-founder in 1978 of the band Stockton's Wing; was the original percussionist for Riverdance; and has played with many other groups such as Altan and De Dannan. He recorded several albums and for films such as Titanic and The Devil's Own. He was also an art therapist.
