Biographical note
From County Tipperary, Kathleen Loughnane was an Irish harp player, teacher, composer, and researcher. She arranges traditional music for the harp, has taught internationally, and published several albums. In 1990 she co-founded the group Dordán.

Boston College Gaelic Roots Festival is primarily documented through audio and video recordings of music and dance performances and lectures. There are also extensive color snapshot photographs of the festival, and these include classes and workshops as well as concerts and lectures.
