Biographical note

Kathleen O'Shea-Maguire was an Irish dancer and teacher. She won three world championships, and in the 1980s she founded the Maguire O’Shea Academy with her husband Michael Maguire. Based in Essex, England, the Maguire O’Shea Academy has taught multiple World and All-Ireland champions, and students have gone on to perform in major shows such as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: Boston College Gaelic Roots Festival is primarily documented through audio and video recordings of music and dance performances and lectures.
