Biographical note
Originally from London, concertina player Jacqueline McCarthy, daughter of dancer Kathleen Connaughton and multi-instrumentalist Tommy McCarthy Sr., was a performer and teacher based in County Galway. With the McCarthy family and her husband, uilleann piper Tommy Keane, she has played throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom. In 1995 she and Keane released an album "The Wind Among the Reeds," and she has also been a member of other musical groups.
