McCullough, L. E.
Biographical note
A multi-instrumentalist and composer in a variety of musical genres, Indianapolis native L. E. (Larry) McCullough was also a researcher, writer, and educator. His contributions to traditional Irish music include The Complete Irish Tinwhistle Tutor (1976). His ethnomusicology Ph. D. dissertation at the University of Pittsburgh (1978) focuses on Irish music in Chicago. His publications include poetry, fiction, drama, and journalism.
