Biographical note
Based in County Meath, Catherine McEvoy was a traditional Irish flute player and teacher. She grew up in Birmingham, England, her parents having immigrated there in the 1940s from County Roscommon. She plays flute in the Sligo-Roscommon style. She has collaborated a variety of musical groups and in 2019 received the TG4 Gradam Ceoil musician of the year award.

Music by the Gaelic Roots Ceili Band, including Kieran Hanrahan, Séamus Connolly, Brian Conway, Helen Kisiel, Catherine McEvoy, Jimmy Noonan, Laurel Martin, Brendan McGlinchey, and Beth Sweeney. The first hour of the céilí was recorded live for Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ).
