Biographical note
Originally from County Armagh, Brendan McGlinchey was a fiddle player, teacher, and composer. He won four All Ireland fiddle competitions as well as the 1964 Fleadh "Champion of Champions" competition. He played with the Malachy Sweeney Céilí Band in the 1950s before moving to England. He recorded a studio album and performed internationally.

Music by the Gaelic Roots Ceili Band, including Kieran Hanrahan, Séamus Connolly, Brian Conway, Helen Kisiel, Catherine McEvoy, Jimmy Noonan, Laurel Martin, Brendan McGlinchey, and Beth Sweeney. The first hour of the céilí was recorded live for Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ).
