Biographical note

Singer Jeanne Morrill studied Scottish Gaelic language and song at the Universities of Edinburgh and Stirling. She performed for many years in the Boston area before relocating to Greenfield, Massachusetts. In 1992 she released a solo album of Scots and Scottish Gaelic songs, "Shape Shifting," and has been a guest vocalist for various traditional music festivals and dance albums.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: Boston College Gaelic Roots Festival is primarily documented through audio and video recordings of music and dance performances and lectures. There are also extensive color snapshot photographs of the festival, and these include classes and workshops as well as concerts and lectures.
