Biographical note

Peadar O’Loughlin was an Irish flute, fiddle and uilleann pipes player from County Clare. He began performing in the 1940s and won All-Ireland championships on the flute in 1956 and 1957. In 1959 he was featured on one of the first recordings of traditional Irish music on LP. He also performed with the Tulla Ceili Band and the Kilfenora Ceili Band. In 2005, TG4 awarded him the Gradam Saoil.
