Biographical note
Ed Pearlman was a fiddle player, teacher, and author focusing on the traditional music of Scotland and Cape Breton. Born and raised in the Chicago area, he co-founded the Boston Scottish Fiddle Club in 1981 and directed the group's workshops, tours, and performances for 18 years before moving to Maine. Hands Up for Trad inducted him into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame in 2024 as the first recipient of its "Services to Community" Award.
