Biographical note
Gertrude Frederica Marsland Hopkins was born in 1857 to Katharine Hannah Beechey Hopkins and Thomas Marsland Hopkins. She had a son, Richard Marsland Hopkins, who was born in 1884. She lived her entire life with her mother in London, and died in 1911.
