Biographical note
Eva Ström was born on January 4, 1947 in Lidingö, Sweden. She trained as a physician and worked as a doctor from 1974 to 1988 before becoming a full-time author. She published her first collection of poetry, Den brinnande zeppelinaren, in 1977, and has since published numerous poetry collections, novels, and dramas. Ström is the recipient of a number of awards and honours, including the Nordic Council Literature Prize (2003), Gerard Bonniers lyrikpris (2005), Bellmanprisen (2005), Tegnérprisen (2010), and Jan Smrek Prize (2018).
