Biographical Note
Liturgical artist and author. Ade Bethune was born in Brussels in 1914 and emigrated to New York in 1928. She studied art and became involved with Dorothy Day's Catholic Worker Movement. Beginning in the 1930s she worked as an illustrator and liturgical consultant. Bethune died on May 1, 2002.
