Biographical Note
Michael Healy was born in 1807 or 1808 in County Kilkenny, Ireland. He studied in Montreal, Canada before being ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Benedict Joseph Fenwick in 1830. From 1833 until his death in 1840, Healy served at Boston, Massachusetts' Cathedral of the Holy Cross and St. Mary's Church. He died in Montreal on July 8, 1840.

The bound manuscript contains 14 handwritten sermons delivered by Healy from 1835 through 1840. They were delivered at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and St. Mary's Church.
