Biographical note

Máirín Uí Chéide (Maureen Keady) was a singer and teacher from the Irish-speaking region of County Galway. In 1986, at the Oireachtas na Gaeilge, she won the Corn Uí Riada for traditional sean-nós singing. Based in the Boston area beginning in the mid-1980s, she was inducted into the Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Northeast Region Hall of Fame in 2003.
