Biographical Note
A mathematician, philosopher, and author, Louis O. Kattsoff earned his bachelors and doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania in 1929 and 1934, respectively. He taught at several colleges and universities before coming to Boston College in 1959 as a professor of mathematics. Kattsoff was active in many organizations and wrote extensively on mathematics. He died in 1979.
