Biographical note

Jesuit, author and theatrical director. Bonn entered the Society of Jesus in 1923 and was ordained a priest in 1935. He taught classics at Boston College and directed the School of Dramatics. Bonn also taught at several other universities including Fairfield University and was a prodigious writer. He died in 1975.

The John Louis Bonn, SJ papers document the life of Bonn, a Jesuit priest, writer, and educator who attended Boston College and taught classics, English, and drama there from 1930-1949. It includes correspondence, ephemera, lecture and staging notes, manuscripts, and photographs.
